Terrific Tips Tuesday

How often do you need a card and you realize you don't have the right one for the occasion? I've learned a few tricks along the way to help myself out of this situation. First of all, I like to make larger quantities of cards like the Hello card below. This card would work great as a birthday, thank-you or thinking of you card.

The next time-saver is making card inserts ahead of time. These are 4" x 5 1/4" pieces of card stock with various sentiments on them. Then when you realize you have a birthday coming up you can grab your all-occasion card, stick in an insert with a birthday wish on it, sign it and send it! Can it get more simple that?! And the added layer of the insert gives your card a nice, finished look. Inserts are great for cards with a dark card base. They make the sentiment inside easier to read. You can really add a personal touch by adding an extra stamp, like I did with the flower below, to make it even more special.
