January Stamp Club Projects

I'm a little behind on sharing our January Club projects. We had a little drama in the form of my daughter having appendicitis with some complications. But she is doing much better and she's home and that makes everything right in the world.

I couldn't miss sharing these cute projects. One of my club ladies asked to make pom poms, so that's what we did and added it to a box we made using the Gift Box Punch Board. I also saw THIS card and just had to try and make it. I love how it turned out and I thought the color combination, while unconventional, was so sweet!

January Stamp Club Project Instructions

Gift Box (3 ¼ x 3 ¼ x 2 ½)
1.       Start with card stock cut to 9” x 9”. Instructions and sizing for other boxes are included with the Gift Box Punch Board.
2.       Open the Score Extender on the right side of the Gift Box Punch Board.
3.       Align the left edge of paper with Start Line L; punch.
4.       Score along the Horizontal and Vertical lines and along Diagonal Line M.
5.       Rotate paper 90° counterclockwise; repeat steps 3 & 4.
6.       Repeat steps 3-5 for all sides.
7.       Turn paper over and align according to step 3; punch an additional notch on each side.
8.       Punch slits in all four corners using the Reverse Punch.
9.       Fold box.
To make Pom Pom
1.       Wrap piece of long yarn (9 yards) around cardboard pom pom maker; tie wrapped yarn together with a piece of shorter yarn (1 yard) and knot tightly.
2.       Cut through the loops of bunched yarn and rip away the cardboard pom pom maker.
3.       Evenly trim pom pom.
4.       Wrap long ribbon around box.
5.       Fluff pom pom with fingers and adhere it to the box with an extra-large glue dot (provided).
6.       Create tag using scrap paper (on the table) and tie to ribbon using silver ribbon.

Banner Flap Card
1.       Score each end of card stock (cut to 8 ½ x 5 ½) at 2 1/8.
2.       Layer cut pieces of paper onto card base.
3.       Add sentiment or Washi Tape to banner pieces and then trim banner edge using the Hexagon Punch, trimming opposite ends.
4.       Add heart and Subtles Candy Dot to one banner piece.
5.       Adhere banners to card, one on the left flap in the middle and two on the right flap just above and below center banner using Glue Dots.
